Deadpool X Wolverine

So in lieu of casting a new WOLVERINE, they've gotten the one that retired to return? Hugh Jackman is teased to reprise his role of X-Man "Wolverine" (Look, he's even listed on IMDb)for the coming DEADPOOL movie (starring Ryan Reynolds) with a date set on "9.6.24". So on the scale of "1 to 10", how excited are you? ... not to mention Ryan is wearing the GREY Deadpool-uniform reminiscent of "X-FORCE", so THAT'LL BE FUN...!

I might well be a "Multiverse"-schtik which'll help herald and introduce a "new" Wolverine, innit? ... but that's just me :)

From 2000's "X-Men" to 2017's "Logan", Mr Hugh Jackman has played "Wolverine" for a total of 10 feature films! The oft mentioned story for how Jackman secured this iconic role, was when actor Dougray Scott was scheduled to play Wolverine in X Men, but was in a motorbike accident, and wouldn't have recovered in time for filming so the part went to Hugh Jackman (imdb.com) ... oh how different the landscape would've been...!

Now go buy THIS ACTION FIGURE from my online shop, cheers...! FYI the figure is from 2013's "The Wolverine".

Custom 1/6 Wolverine "X-Men: Days of Future Past"

WOLVERINE from "X-Men: Days of Future Past" - the "future" version - in 1/6-scaled as customized by Jacob Rahmier (and posted on One Sixth Republic on Facebook). Curiously, we do not see much action figure news on the movies' myriad of characters, whom ironically could simply power an entire toy-line, IMHO … gives credence to the speculated word(s) that the current X-Men movie toys are being "freezed out" of toy-collectors' hands, doesn't it?

Official "Wolverine" Promo Clip #1 for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

The spotlight is on WOLVERINE in his new "clip" - hopefully of a series of character profiles to come tho … although I have to admit, when Hugh Jackman was first cast as the mutant in the first film, I had serious reservations, of the short-stock berserker, now amuck taker than everyone else, and frankly more menacing looking than Sabretooth himself!

Years later right now, I am frankly still uneasy about the fit, but have come to accept whatever my thoughts are, the cinematic die has been cast … and if you realize, one of the characters MARVEL have not tried to reintroduce the cinematic version of into the comicbook universe .. but then again, the XMen-movies are not under the MARVEL banner, innit? Really makes me wonder tho, how MARVEL would've done Wolverine differently in cinema…?

X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE WEBSITE UPDATE & INTERNATIONAL POSTERS

I realized that as I have been late in blogging about the X-Men Origins: Wolverine official website-update (which now features individual character-profiles - of all the boys excluding Wade Wilson aka Deadpool) - that the international posters found on IESB [via MovieWeb] - were the same images from the said-website. To wit:

X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE FINAL TRAILER

Was Logan tracking a young Scott Summers aka Cyclops? The future team-leader of Professor Xavier's X-MEN? (Then Jean Grey must've really been jailbait for Wolverine then ... *yikes*). Listed in IMDB is "Tim Pocock" as "Scott Summers". Wow. I didn't know that :p

The second of three X-Men Origins: Wolverine TV spots as shown on FOX. "BROTHERS" has Logan going thru wars like the Fonz picks up dames. And "brother" Victor Creed aka "Sabretooth" is never far behind (in wars, not picking up girls...).

WOLVERINE ONE-SHEET

Logan's too cheap to go to the barbers ... or perhaps his healing factor makes dead hair-cells "alive"? If not, he could totally give Professor Xavier a run for the baldie-look... heh.

WEAPON-X PROGRAM GROUP SHOT

Hugh Jackman aka James Logan aka Wolverine emails AICN with an exclusive image from the X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE feature film [tagged] along with a note about the current additional filming in Vancouver (read it HERE)

WOLVERINE @ SAN DIEGO COMIC CONVENTION 2008

a teaser trailer for X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE was shown during San Diego Comic Convention 2008 and a bootleg-version has surfaced unto the web (which no doubt will not last for long) - also features a laundry-list of fellow mutants, including (speculation): Gambit, Maverick, Wraith, Emma Frost, Silver Fox, Blob Wade Wilson (aka Deadpool) and of coz, Sabretooth.

Hugh Jackman made a suprise visit and these are some videos of

snikt!

SNIKT
now that's the Wolverine i remember!

"The film will trace Wolverine's past as he discovers the world of mutants and, ultimately, the ominous Weapon X program, which turns people into living weapons.

Jackman is tight-lipped on plot details, though he says the film will hardly be a one-mutant story.

Wolverine's nemesis Sabretooth "is going to play a big part in it. And there will be a good bit of cameos" of new and familiar mutants, he says. "But you can't give too much away, because fans are pretty hard-core. Their expectations go up a level every time you come out with a new film.""

Directed by Gavin Hood and co-starring Liev Schreiber, X-Men Origins: Wolverine hits theaters on May 1, 2009.
