About That Toy Leak for The Design of Silver Samurai (in "The Wolverine")
Thanks to a listing for an action figure, we might have a design revealed for a character in the upcoming live-action "The Wolverine" movie, with this 3.75" Figure Series 01 from Hasbro introducing The Silver Samurai!
Listed for pre-order on BigBadToyStore (for US$6.99, with an estimated June 2013 arrival), the figure shows a creature's-face on the front armor chasis (vaguely seen on the poster image)! So okay, maybe he looks more "white" than silver here though … so far we've seen the character's back in trailers, so this might well be a possible "leak"? *I heart toys*
(Thanks to Jamie for the headsup!)

That 70s Xmen On Show #DaysofFuturePast
Tweets from @BryanSinger with X-Men from "Days of Future Past" - all geared up on 70s fashion, 1973 specifically, it seems. And while I am hesitant to evoke a comparison to "That 70s Show" (hey, there is no Mila Kunis for comparison here, innit? :p), here's a look at "The Beast" (above-left), "Wolverine" (above-right), Professor X (with a head of wild hair / seen below) and "Kitty Pryde" (aka Shoadow Cat - who may or may not be in 70s fashion here tho …) along with a peek at a beard "Iceman".
And yes, it would be so much easier if I just refer to their character names from now on, because there's just too many names to be mentioned, fhanks :)

"Storm" in #DaysOfFuturePast
Actress "Halle Berry" as the mutant weather manipulator "Storm" in X-Men Days of Future Past - no doubt dressed here "in the future" … I had wanted to quib something clever and witty to slam the hairstyle, but I got nothing … my mouth is still dropped down in the sewers, no doubt snatched away by Morlocks and maybe chucked away into the sludge of "WTF?" out the tunnel's opening …
I am "convinced" now that "Days of Future Past" is not about "time-travel", but about "alternate realities" - because only in an alternate reality could Storm still look youthful-ish (but with bad choices in hairdo), and not actually more "mature" in age (but with still bad choices in hairdo) ... okay, fine .. she's got the maturity-issue down here, I have to admit ... sorry Ms Belle! You're still the hawtsauce in my book!
Would be a nice touch to see if she "married" The Black Panther (hence a nice lead-in into the Marvel character IF he gets his own movie) at all in this reelity … would be a far sight better character development than just a 'do, am jus' sayin'…

About That "Silver Samurai" Character Teaser Poster
In the style of the earlier Wolverine teaser image (seen below), the above SILVER SAMURAI image was teased over the weekend (probably to coincide with "Free Comic Book Day" on May 4th), with actor Will Yun Lee's armored villain getting the spotlight, which frankly is a darn far sight better than this travesty, IMHO.
The filmmakers had tapped on to a cliched but refreshing depiction of their characters ala oriental brush-strokes = a clear and clever image of both the heroes and villains, and of the path into the East, as chosen in the film. Oh well.

"Every mutant needs a place to sit" for "X-Men Days of Future Past"
And while this might not be the full line-up for mutants for the Bryan Singer-directed X-Men: Days of Future Past, it already is a decent line-up to behold, IMHO. Snaps via Singer's Vine-video (spotted on Superhero Hype) … I wonder how many of them actually have "speaking" parts … heh.
We know at least The Beast is missing his chair, Mystique and Rogue might be on the casting wall from before … no Cyclops nor Jean Grey in sight… and bear in mind, there are TWO "Xaviers" and TWO "Magnetos" LOL
Jennifer Lawrence as "Raven / Mystique"
Nicholas Hoult as "Hank McCoy / Beast"
Hugh Jackman as "Logan / Wolverine"
Michael Fassbender as "Erik Lehnsherr / Magneto"
James McAvoy as "Charles Xavier"
Ellen Page as "Kitty Pryde / Shadowcat"
Halle Berry as "Ororo Munroe / Storm"
Shawn Ashmore as "Bobby Drake / Iceman"
Ian McKellen as "Erik Lehnsherr / (Older) Magneto"
Anna Paquin as "Marie / Rogue"
Patrick Stewart as "(Older) Professor Charles Xavier"
Fan Bing Bing as "Blink"
Omar Sy as "Bishop" (Speculatory)
Booboo Stewart as "Warpath" (Speculatory)

Japanese Trailer for "The Wolverine"
The Japanese version of "The Wolverine" is "ヴァリン:SAMURAI", and we get to see some new footage in this new "International" trailer, including the first straight-on non-color saturated look at "Mariko", and we get to see Logan get his arse-kicked by a legion of ninjas!

Reveal of "The Beast" for 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'
the two to have the heart of a man & the form of a monster"
Tweets Director Bryan Singer alongside a image reveal of The BEAST from 'X-Men Days of Future Past" - featuring actor "Nicholas Hoult" reprising his role of "Hank McCoy" from "X-Men: First Class", in what seems to be a make-up test? (his bare uncolored shoulders seem to suggest that, speculatory on my end, of course ;p -unless of course that's the yellow-"X" in their uniform, then "OOPS" hahaha) … thanks to Latino-Review for the headsup!

Domestic (US) Trailer for 'The Wolverine'
Headsup via First Showing. One slight (but) noticeable difference between this Domestic (USA) trailer and the previously posted International trailer - is the amount of imagery showcasing the ladies. From more Yukio, to a sexy Mariko, but a stiff "marm" Viper. I'm not complaining tho! THAT and the noticeably gloomier-aspect of the tone … Logan's in deep doo-doo and this trailer shows it LOL … Here be some screengrabs:
The Japanese ladies here look "super exotic", don't they?
"Oh Viper, I've been a bad boy … punish me!" … LOL
Oh look! "Oriental" faces! At least they're not using "Koreans" disguised as "Japanese" - LOL
I certainly hope ninjas from "The Hand" are more skilled than those guys in Cobra's employ tho … *cough*
…Yes, this reminded me of Tom Cruise's scene in "The Last Samurai" too … heh.
International Trailer for 'The Wolverine'
Headsup via First Showing. Here are some select screengrabs for hot Japanese lady Yukio, an even hotter Viper, "Jean Grey" from the X-Men, loadsa ninjas and a wholly underwhelming Silver Samurai:

19-Sec 'Pre-Trailer' Teaser for 'The Wolverine'
19-Sec "Pre-Trailer" Teaser for 'The Wolverine', scheduled
to be unleashed March 27th via Apple trailers and MTV.
The Wolverine: International Motion Poster 3
There is a 3rd Motion Poster (via The Wolverine Facebook, featuring a different image of the berserker, perhaps a reaction to the knees-down in the rain image seen yesterday?
The Wolverine: International Motion Poster 2
Remember that "International Poster" for "The Wolverine" I posted yesterday? This is the "motion poster" for it ... hopefully we'll be able to download or embed a better resolution (ala THIS version) somewhen soon :)
The Silver Samurai for 'The Wolverine' Revealed (Sorta...) + Vine Teaser Video
The Silver Samurai (or rather a fleeting glimpse of his back) is revealed in this Vine-video from @mang0ld, promoting 'The Wolverine' - with a trailer set to debut March 27th on MTV and Apple trailers.
WHO-IS: "Keniuchio Harada is the mutant son of the former Japanese crimelord Shingen Harada. As a youth, Harada mastered the attendant disciplines of the medieval samurai and sought employment as a warrior for hire. He first worked for the criminal Mandrill and clashed with the blind hero Daredevil. Harada then served the Viper, an agent of the terrorist organization Hydra, as her bodyguard. In that capacity, Harada battled opponents such as the costumed crimefighter Spider-Man, the martial arts master Shang-Chi, and the team of mutant trainee heroes the New Mutants." Reveals of Viper, Yukio & Mariko for 'The Wolverine'
Entertainment Weekly.com offers up eight images for 'The Wolverine', which includes the reveal of Viper (Svetlana Khodchenkova), the katana-totting motorbike-riding Yukio (Rila Fukushima) and Mariko (Tao Okamoto), and not forgetting commentary from the film's director James Mangold. (via SuperheroHype)
New 'The Wolverine' Posters
New WOLVERINE Poster spotted on Superhero Hype (above), while there's another spotted on Facebook (below) - both show a topless Logan with claws popped. We've been seeing a whole lot of half-naked Logan with claws popped and I think there will be more to come too LOL

CASTING: Daniel Cudmore for X-Men: Days of Future Past
Scrolling thru the IMDb-listings for 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' - I spotted the name "Daniel Cudmore" for "Piotr Rasputin / Colossus"! But of course I missed the news traveling around the www before that LOL
Frankly I would have loved to see more of him in X-Men: The Last Stand, but am esthetic to hopefully see more of him in "Future Past" … I fondly remember seeing him assume his metallic form in X2, and enacting the "Fastball Special" with Wolverine lobbed at a Sentinel, in that "Danger Room" exercise (ironically for a "Days of Future Past" simulation!). Here's hoping they don't make him wear the Y-Front spanks for this celluloid outing tho LOL
CASTING: Booboo for X-Men: Days of Future Past
“It's just a dream come true, really; I can't even explain the feeling that I have for this, it's incredible. I don't know anything [that I can share] about my character. I can't say anything, but I wish I could shout it. Yes, you will see [the result of my work-out] in the movie. I look forward to working with Bryan Singer; I got to hang out with him for a few days...seriously a cool guy. [Singer calling the movie an inbetweenquel] is a really neat way to connect the [original X-Men trilogy and First Class]. It'll be really interesting to see how it all comes together.”Mentioned actor Booboo Stewart of his role in X-Men: Days of Future Past (via ComicBookMovie / via io9.com). You might remember him as werewolf "Seth Clearwater" in "Twilight". Only character that popped into mind for this dude is "John Proudstar" aka "Thunderbird" or "Warpath" from X-Force (do pardon my racial-profiling tho). But seriously tho, drop the headband, and stick to the darker-version, please - someone to give Wolverine a run for "darkness" … although it would be quite funny if he was NOT a part of the X-Men tho LOL … Who do YOU think he should play?

Tweeting Film Directors
"Life" is so different now … regardless of the past, both the advent of Twitter and Facebook has set a new course of direction in which a movie is presented to the masses / marketed online, as well how it affects the "real world".
Locally, I have witnessed local television news reports quoting Facebook status updates or tweets as legitimate news sources (and "journalism" has since become a "disposable commodity"). Hype wise, movie directors have been tweeting from their production meetings and film sets, which would have been literally unheard of days past. Now, how the heck did that happen again? LOL
Regardless, hype-sites like mine and most every other lap them up for information, so I'm not grousing about anything here! ;p
Above: "A panorama of camera "A" at Yashida Compound.
Matt Toll (1st AC) and Marc Spicer ("A" Operator extraordinaire)."
Below: "A long dolly shot at the Yashida compound

Two specific Twitter-accounts you should be looking at (specifically for this blog) are from THE WOLVERINE director James Mangold at @mang0ld (posted here are his snaps), and X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST director Bryan Singer @BryanSinger. They have been providing as much hype as company-run media outlets, since whatever is tweeted gets diluted to FB-postings and such, without a credit given.

Another Day Another Battle on X-Men: Days of Future Past
Director Bryan Singer tweeted the group planning shot above, for which I tried to see closer what they were for, but alas, I lost interest pretty quick LOL … but looks to be some sort of indoor-battle, hopefully we'll get to see handheld-all-the-day from one end to the other tho! Just let Wolverine do it, so there's less need to do (too much) CGI hahahaha *SNIKT*
