And while I can neither deny his notion nor wholly agree with it, I’d agree that the black leather had run it’s course of looking like a covert black-ops unit, like the days of yore when trenchcoats made everyone “cool” hahahaha … but the uniforms and costumes seen in X-MEN APOCALYPSE (post this video) managed to give us fanboy and fangirls a taste of both the comicbook and celluloid design sensibilities, IMHO.

An aspect of the latest mutant big screen event the marketing folks have surprisingly not touched upon till now (that I know of anyways, and if I don't, "they've" failed anyways! :p) = "The retolicious 80's"! The kitsch is undeniable, the style unavoidable, and with all the "seriousness" going on with superhero-comicbook to=screen adaptations in recent years, THIS seemed like such refreshing (tho "retro") FUN!
X-MEN APOCALYPSE premiered on Singapore screens yesterday May 19th … don't suppose there's a "SG Hotline" to call tho? :p (Quick! Someone do a Singlish parody dub soonsoon!)

"Very happy to have been selected by Marvel Entertainment/ 20th Century Fox to create a popdeco poster for their upcoming summer blockbuster: X-MEN: APOCALYPSE.
I wanted this vector to focus primarily on Apocalypse's determined stare, and integrating him as En Sabah Nur, and his four horsemen.
